I am an entrepreneur driven by an unwavering passion for food, health and holistic wellness. I take immense pride in being a mother to two wonderful young boys and a wife of an incredible man. A fusion of Punjabi heritage, the lively energy of Mumbai, and the essence of New York's spirit, I embody a tapestry of diverse experiences.
My career journey is multifaceted—I've co-founded two food and nutrition companies: Zesty Kitchen and Freshly Moms. Freshly Moms offers a comprehensive range of nutrition supplements tailored to every stage of parenthood. On the other hand, Zesty Kitchen was focused on introducing Indian-inspired snacks to the mainstream snacking aisle. Prior to that I managed the quality program for a large fast-casual restaurant chain. I've also ventured into the realm of entertainment, having acted in a Punjabi feature film, "Bathinda Express” and hosted a talk show "Desi Artist" on the channel PTC News. I won the title of Miss Punjab in 2011.
I find joy in the delicate strokes of watercolors, making it my favorite painting medium. I really enjoy reading whenever I get a chance between running my business and taking care of my family. Some of my favorite books are Man’s Search For Meaning by Victor E. Frankly, Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankin by Yuval Noah Harari, Be Water, My Friend: The Teachings of Bruce Lee by Shannon Lee and When Breath Becomes Air by Paul Kalanithi. I like experimenting in my kitchen trying out new recipes, cultural ingredients and creative techniques.
Through this platform, I aim to share my personal journey through motherhood, my profound affection for wholesome nourishment, the solace I find in artistic expressions, and the driving forces that ignite my motivation and elevate my spirit. I am learning to protect my peace and write my own rules.
